I loooove designing logos from scratch. This really is one of my favorite things to do. I sketch off and on all day then during nap and bedtimes (this summer) I work on these lovelies. My typical method of design is sketching because I like to get all my good and bad ideas on paper first. Then I crank some out in Illustrator. I usually come up with a few more variations before sending the client between 5 and 10 options. We go back and forth from there, sometimes once, sometimes a few times until we narrow it down to the ONE. I then send the client a mini brand book, or glorified PDF depending on potential application, as well as every file type they could possibly need.

Family owned Family Practice in Florence, Alabama with two generations as doctors. This bridge was specific to Florence and was fun to create! I wanted to emphasize that they are there for their clients from youth to maturity.

A wonderful entrepreneur friend is starting her own consulting company and needed a logo. I chose a bicycle/gear icon because she had specific areas she wanted to emphasize on her website and materials. She also often referred to how if one piece is missing it just wont work. She will have a lot of options with this logo down the road!

This very simple logo required several back and forths, believe it or not, before we were really satisfied. They were also entrepreneurs who are looking to start a skin care line. They wanted it very simple and our inspiration was Goop. Since packaging was always in our minds I also made a secondary variation (below) for how the logo would wrap around containers.

Stony Point is one of the oldest Churches of Christ in Alabama and they needed a logo. I most remember their building by the beautiful windows. They are a conservative, historic church full of the kindest people, so I went with a very calming and grounded feel.
